Photos by Anna Hoke | Residents of Southeast Alaska were invited to Spuhn Island community day on June 23, 2012. People enjoyed a complimentary boat ride from Auke Bay and took tours of the island. Spuhn Island was purchased in 2004 by a local family. The island was subdivided into 38 parcels varying in size from 1.3 to 3.4 acres. Located within the City and Borough of Juneau, the island spans 156 acres of unspoiled natural forest, just minutes by boat from Auke Bay and North Douglas launches. The Spuhn Island Development is currently the only all-waterfront subdivision in Juneau.  Because of a high quantity of photos please keep checking back to view newly uploaded photos.
