Thunder Mountain Big Band is a local Juneau, Alaska Jazz Band led by Ron Maas. Maas has run the 17-piece group (plus one vocalist) for 12 years. Thunder Mountain Big band has performed at the Governor’s Ball and the Montessori Fundraiser. The band can be hired for special events and occasions. The musical group rehearses on Monday evenings at the “Big Blue” building downtown and Maas says that visitors are always welcome to come and listen.
